Default Kindle Fire HD - 7 inch

I'm toying with the idea of buying one of these for SWMBO.

Does anyone have one and if so can it be used for checking emails, facebook and general internet browsing?

SWMBO here got her's early, and she loves it. Uses it for facebook, and the games/apps and now uses it more than the tower pc or laptop. She has the latest generation version, it did turn itself off once, which appears to be an issue according to some reviews, but a hard reset and it came back on, we think it got hot where she placed it down still turned on.

Plays youtube vids no trouble, great wifi reception all around the house, and for what they cost, cheap as chips as they say.

All of the above and more. I'm using mine now, I have music, films and books on mine.
I probably use mine more than the laptop now.

Terry.
