Default Small welding job needed on tourer strut mount

My tourer's tailgate gas strut mounting bracket and needs a small weld repair.

Would anyone be going to the Wolverhampton nanomeet next weekend who could fix this for me?

I have a spot of rust on one of my tourer's mounting brackets. So if I put a washer in, that will stop it failing in the future?

Arctic,

On Dad’s car, 53 plate ZTT 2.5, one is loose and the other has gone completely.
I think the nut is in the pillar somewhere on one side, as there is a rattling noise there when you wiggle it.
Do you have a source for your brackets?

Thanks.

Cal
