I've now checked that the SatNav computer plugs are properly pushed in and still no joy. The Sat Nav switchpack in the corner of the Symphony radio is still failing to respond. On/off switch does nothing and no green light. The radio reset procedure also failed to make a difference.
I'm beginning to wonder if I've somehow fused the switchpack when swopping out the original temperamental computer with the BMW one which it would seem is not compatible anyway. Although I waited for the computers to power down before removal, I did not disconnect the battery (fear of losing radio code) before swopping computers.
Does this sound likely ?
I wonder does the switchpack have its own internal fuse ? Rest of radio continues to function normally.
Any other ideas / suggestions to help me narrow this down ?
Thanks,
Kevin
