It makes you wonder now how our Parents ran around in Vauxhall Velox/Victors and other makes with 5 Kids on board!

I won't mention the Austin 16's but not so many of us then!

When I was born we (well they), had a Messerschmitt, Dad Driving, Mum behind me on her lap, dog on the Parcel shelf thingy

I also remember going to picnics sitting on the roof of an Austin Cambridge Estate or whatever the Estate version was called, Seat belts were a thing of the future!

Nowdays we can't do things like that and everyone expects more from what we have.

I know it's crazy! I used to be ferried around in the back of dads car, no seat belts, no child seat, just the normal rear seat (P6's were a lovely place to be, the Dolomite after never quite cut it as much, and neither did the Princess that replaced that!) Nowadays, you'd have the book thrown at you if you didn't have a proper car seat for the kids or they weren't belted in. Blimey I even remember going to a mates party, and there was around 8 of us bundled in the back of an Avenger estate!

I think I'll probably hang on to it Rich, as with my reputation of swapping and changing cars sods law says I'll have a use for it in a month or two, as I sold all my turbo goodies and now have another T16 turbo'd motor sat outside

Don't ask me how but somehow my mother and 4 of us young kids used to go from Tonbridge to Camber Sands with my Father astride a BSA, with sidecar.
He used to pull me on a pushbike most of the way to Tunbridge Wells hanging on to a rope tied to his Velocette motorbike thingy (water cooled with built in leg guards)
