Default Radio, sat nav same old, same old

I'm sorry but the new ones have got to start somewhere. My Sat nav, tv,radio,cd unit has got the same gremlins as a few others mentioned with an added twist. The cd works fine (just as well) and the radio is stuck on an AM sports channel.
When I turn the lights on the displays dims.
The cd display is always on even when the cd is switched to the radio
The sat nav works fine (in 2001 mode)
I've tried to reset the unit as previously suggested on here to no avail and it's even a swine to get it back to cd once the reset has been tried

A cracking car but with an annoying entertainment system

Please help if you can guys
Thankyou

If you want the Bordmonitor to remain at full brightness when you switch on the car's lights, have a look at the set-up menu (or whatever it's called ) in the home screen.

Thanks Greeners, there was water in the spare wheel well for sometime which I was unaware of. This was coming from the rear light cluster that's now been sorted. As regards to the plenum, I'm looking up on this site to see what it is and where it is.

Ken, was this the reset procedure you tried?

1. Switch off unit using main on/off button (one with the orange triangle on the bottom right of the unit)

2. Switch on the unit using the same button

3. Within 8 seconds press and hold the TP button, on the unit, until the radio station read out re-appears and music etc can be heard

4. Switch off the unit again

5. Switch the unit back on and you can then select all radio bands along with CD, tape and tuner.

Just got back from taking a look at Kens car, and all is sorted now - provided he can source a replacement radio tuner

I'll leave Ken to explain the rest, It was great to meet you, and thanks for the coffee Ken

Here is a copy of the Sat Nav & Radio Manual you wanted.
