Default what use are these stats?

holiday bookings up "300"%, flights "600"%

what use are they? what do they tell us?
Would numbers be better, holiday bookings up from "1" to "3", flights up from "1" to "6", is this more informative?

They are classed as Impressive headline figures, designed to prompt people who are thinking about booking to actually do it in case the price increases or sells out

Itís to do with sample size Ian. You need a good sized population - say 5000 minimum and of that you would need at least a 10% sample - so 500 would need to be questioned. And even then - most researchers would laugh at such a small survey!!

So if only 192 women were sampled and this 192 was supposedly a representative 10% selection from a population then that population was only 1,920 people.

The sample is so small as to be statistically useless.

Me too as you find that some of the women aren't whole women.-----
