Hi, the problem was solved for a few days. Now he is done it again.
Won't fire up. This is what TOAF says Can somebody explain this for me? Is it the ECU that fails? And if so, where do I find the ECU? Thanks for answering. Gerard |

The main ECU is located in the false bulkhead in an area approximately under the right hand wiper, but as yours is a petrol model these units don't suffer to the same degree as wet diesel ones.
Are there any other engine fault codes, otherwise you'll just have to examine each connection to the relay. Regards |

Update,
the fuel pump is oke, put external 12V on it and it runs. About the relay, there is a different connection on the fuseboard. I have battery on pin 87 and pin 30 goes to the fuel pump. pin 86 gives 12V by contact on. 85 is - by relay placed no power on pin 30. I placed an external connection between 87 and 30 with relay removed. Car starts. Buyed a new relay, the other is only 3 days old! Car starts. Now wondering how long it takes before relay fails. Gould there be a problem that the relay fails after 3 days? Or is that just something that happens ...... Thanks for helping me out till now. Gerard |
