Thumbs up

PS. Both modulator to front brake hose brackets are now fitted - and they're not a bad job even if I do say so myself.

Well done. Any pipework jobs will be a lot easier to fathom from here on.
And remember, when you've estimated how much pipe you'll need, double it.

Thanks for all help on this job TC.

The one-piece pipe went in relatively easily from underneath the car - get the RH end out through the hole first then the rest and be manoeuvred into place. Mind you, I wouldn't like to try it if the subframe, gearbox and steering rack were on the car.

You suggested starting with 140cm length of pipe. I measured my old mangled one using a piece of string and decided to go up to 160cm. I cut three 160cm lengths, (expecting I'd mess up the first two attempts!). If I had to do it again I'd go up to 180cm.

Your Chinese mini pipe bender (I got the Laser version for £10.19) proved to be a fantastic bit of kit and I ended up using it to do all the shaping work. In fact the other two pipe benders I'd collected were redundant.

So all that's really needed are the £39 flaring tool, the £10 pipe bender, a mini pipe cutter, 25ft of pipe and some fittings.

Default Pipe clips & holes

Forgot to add, not all brake pipe clips fit the holes they're supposed to go into (or vice versa).

The front brake pipes have two EDP7037L one-way clips - one on top of the RH chassis leg and one on top of the LH chassis leg.

Both of the original clips on mine had split across the base so I bought two new ones. Both new clips fitted the LH hole perfectly but neither of them fitted the RH hole - they're not big enough to lock in. So one hole is bigger than the other, even though they're supposed to be the same dameter.
