I always remove the bearing and drift these out, followed with a run through with a rat tail file, and a whiff of paint The new sensor can be given the lightest smear of RTV to prevent future rust build up. Brian |

Rear ABS Sensor
Where is the best place to buy the rear sensors? Rimmers list lots of options many of them very expensive which I cannot understand for such a small part.

Rimmers aftermarket sensors are good, avoid the cheap eBay ones, they are very hit and miss.

Mat (DMGRS) has sensors at a very reasonable price, bought two myself for the spares collection, these are stated to be ex-Longbridge stock: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/rov...d7f14573&_ss=r

Rear ABS Sensor
I should have included and additional question when I asked about suppliers of the abs sensors.
I am currently rebuilding the rear suspension and had to knock out both sensors which were rusted in which sounds typical. Has anyone had experience of reusing such sensors or will they have been totalled?? |

If you take them down to Lourdes and dip them in the holy water you might be in with a chance.
But if you clumped them as hard as I did to get them out they are toast. You could try testing them though. . Last edited by Mike Noc; 23rd October 2020 at 16:49.. |
