Default Tourer 75 Alarm and locking.

Evening All,

Sunday I am driving from Sunny Edinburgh down to Wet and drizzly Spain, (is that the right way around??)

the ferry company need to cars to be secure with alarm off.

Does the Rover automatically engage the alarm? every time i use the remote the indicators flash but not sure if that is just to show it locked.

thanks

Dean

Yes, using the remote arms the alarm, I'm pretty sure if you lock it with the key the alarm wont be set.

Enjoy your trip, a good choice of the most comfortable car to go there.

Hi Dean,

Your question sparked my curiosity so I had a look in RAVE. If you use your key mechanically in the door barrel, volumetric protection won't be activated (triggered by air pressure). You will still have perimetric protection though (doors, bonnet or boot being opened).

Using the remote control locking button on your key fob activates both.

Simon
