this is what this club is about
Not only is this a place just to chat, it is also a place to get help and advice mainly about Rovers but also many other things as well.
I've had an offer from 2 members to come to me and help me with a Tourer I'm working on, replacing the clutch and cylinders. I've done nothing for them yet they are willing to put them selves out for me Advice and hands on help... what a decent forum this is and I for one have had so much help. mike noc and chriscb750 are the members that have offered to come over and many others have given advice on parts and procedures thank you to you all, I appreciate it macafee2 |

So true; with the help and advice I received last week I had my beast happly running again, within three days, and with only the cost of a second hand part, no mechanics paid or taken on.

Quite simply, if it was not for this club, I would have burned and pushed my still flaming ZT's off a cliff.

Yep, not long after I joined, I broke down at the side of the road with no drive to the wheels. I was fearing something terminal. A quick SOS message on here brought quite a few suggestions as to the problem, including Wullie, who got it spot on. Must admit, in my panic (I was taking a friend to hospital for chemo), I probably wouldn't have noticed the driveshaft had popped until I'd waited hours for recovery. Just having people offering suggestions focuses the mind and helps calm you down and think "I'm not alone here". Having
members who are willing and have the experience to be able to help, is what makes this forum special.

I'll second that, I've had so much help from so many people since being on here! Trikey, Lincsdave, Marinabrian, the list goes on and on, and without it my cars would probably have been scrapped as there are things I just can't do on my own, or don't have the knowledge to do without a little help. And of course, the Nano crews have been great also!

and again...
My first 75 suffered flooded plenum 3 days before my fathers funeral, a drive of some 310 miles from home... A member here not only provided a plug and play ECU, but did so taking my details off, reprogramming a new one to match and getting it back to me in time to travel.... You still have no idea how grateful I am for that job Brian...

Well said
I've owned my ZT-T for over 6 years now which, is the longest I've ever owned a daily driver for. Without the help, knowledge and friendship of the members on here, it'd have gone a long time ago. You can virtually ask anything and, usually, within minutes, you get a helpful and sensible reply Proud and happy to pay my £10 p/a

There's sure be a lot of head scratching from Rover owners who don't know about this club, If the club didn't exist, I doubt if the 75 and ZT would survive, which begs another question. How many 75/ZT owners are not members? Probably impossible to find out.

Well I've seen two nice examples with private regs this week local to me, and I don't think they're on here!
