Nice weather for a day in Portpatrick

If you fancy some fish n chips a bit closer to your cottage, the little cafe/takeaway in Port William does them in the evenings, 5-7 I think, and they are lovely. They also do battered black puddings

Hmmm those battered black puddings sound interesting, I haven't tried them cooked that way. Good Fish & chips are hard to beat.

Excellent day at Portpatrick.

The cod n chips were scrummy.

Had a good laugh with the woman that owns the van and she comes from Ballymena.

The whole area seems quiet and that must be down to the recent weather .

Off to Kirkudbright tomorrow via that castle out that way.

Lovely night here .

Loads of late evening sun and sitting with a nice Aussie chardonnay..
Not too warm and i won a tenner at the amusements..

Carsluith Castle? Never been George but, I hear the cafe there is good, if a little pricey.
Kircudbright is part of Fraser's patch, keep yours eyes peeled for him.

If that cafe in Port William is open thursday between 5-7 we could maybe meet you for tea.

No pressure.

I remember the first time I overnighted in the lorry in Scotland, I was picking up machinery from the Linwood Talbot car plant, I went to a local chippy & asked for meat pie & chips. I thought WTH! is he doing throwing the pie in the hot fat LOL. I'd never seen that before, & white vinegar, weird or what but it was good & I like the fact when you asked for a fish supper you got one & a half fish
