Thank you Freddie, I keep going. Some days it is hard to do the walk, partly as a result of the surgeon cutting out the gangrenous rot and those losses from the leg. The route is challenging, down 2 hills, then back up them again. Swimming helps. If I don't walk my ears gets boxed. No complaints really.

How are you and Mrs. Freddie doing?

A nephew is on the look out for a cheap reliable runabout, his first car. He will be based in Cambridge as he just got a place at the university. His budget is up to £1500. Any thoughts?

Afternoon Derek, hope you're well.
I'm afraid so Hopefully back tomorrow though

Gives me chance to sort out the MGF.
Just fabricating a couple of brackets that hold the heat shield on above the silencer. Making them out of stainless, you can buy new genuine MGR ones for £32, they're only mild steel too The annoying thing is, they only measure about 4"X1", they must be really sought after. Might go into production of these as I got a 6x6 piece of stainless for £1.50 delivered

Thanks Stu, I will pass it on. His parents will buy the car and pay his insurance, tax. I am not sure if he wants petrol or TDi.

Worth joining the Audi A2 owners Club. They have a very thorough buyers guide. Unlikely to find a TDI for the price given. Avoid the 1.6...

Here's a typical owners Club member car...

Looks like a neat little kitten!

And a rare 5 seat example!

That may say it's 5 seat but I wouldn't want to be the bloke in the middle for any length of time
