Good morning Derek, hope you and Lilian are both well.
Yes, good news indeed, looks like I could be called on regularly. They don't want to employ anybody on their books, so I'm up there as self employed as and when needed which suits me perfectly.

Morning all, been a disastrous start to the holiday, put the awaking up last night, and then no sooner had we started, the wind got up . Managed to get it secured and pegged down, got up this morning at 6.15 and found it in a heap on the ground. The wind had pulled it out of the awning rail completely.
Two snapped poles, one carbon and one ally. Had a basic tool box with me ,so with the use of a hacksaw blade ,cut off the crushed end of the carbon pole, and the ally one had snapped almost through on the join where it slides into the next one. So cut the narrow bit off at the break, cut through it vertically, hammered it so it was smaller, then tapped it into one side, offered up the other pole and tHey joined together fine. Will need to get a replacement sometime, but it will do until we get home. Only problem is it's still far too bloooody windy to try and erect the awning, it's still in a heap pegged to the ground and will remain there until the wind drops.

Not being a caravanner I can't advise, but I do know the destructive power of the weather when the wind gets up. All you do is rely on your experience and your best. Chin up mate

Reasonably sunny morning here, but a little on the 'fresh' side. I'm off for the monthly short back & sides and coat of wax on top this morning - I'll return lighter, both on top and in the pocket
Good morning Rod Thanks very much it hasnt quite set in yet and I am still on a high

We love exploring Kent, it's old country inns and houses. Kent seems popular for Rover 75's, I wonder how many you can spot. I passed on your love to Jessica. She has gone walking on her own this morning, as I missed my footing getting out of bed last night, falling and slightly spraining my ankle, such is life

Have a fantastic time
I hope the ankle heals quickly Phil, I go for my cortisone injection on Friday Really not looking forward to that

Grrr The missus has been away for the weekend at the Lytham Music festival with her friend, her favourite artist 'Bryan Adams' was on.

she came back with half of Lytham beach in the car along with pebbles coated in tarmac than have embedded into the carpets in a black sticky mess along with two extra car park dents & a scratch on the passenger side doors and an empty tank It's cleaning time now. on a positive note the MPG has risen from 19.3 to 20.4 MPG on the IPK lol
