Evening all, been a very hectic weekend, been to Chester and back, dropping daughter off at uni. Just got back at 8.30 last night, so rather tired tonight.

What a day, I'm absolutely soaked to the skin, we had no sooner put a gazebo up to work on the conservatory under cover when it started chucking it down & it's never stopped all day

Trying to keep the work area & power tools dry was hard work to say the least & to make matters worse the Rover failed it's MOT

I took it into a mates garage first thing & told him to check it over & MOT it, he rang telling me what it had failed on & I said go ahead & do the jobs because I'll be tied up all week doing this conservatory.

this is what it failed on.

parking brake imbalanced (the handbrake was 3 clicks), rear brakes imbalanced, exhaust emissions at idle & fast idle excessive carbon monoxide content, front nearside lower suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint. he did all the jobs & took it back for retest & it's now got an MOT. I'm £285 lighter in the pocket now.

That's bad luck with the MOT Ian, at least it's done with for another 12 months though Good luck with the conservatory, I'd just leave the gazebo up and tell her it was open plan
