Oi Rich, you are in no way to blame for what happened. You did everything you could, you couldn't be with him 24/7. We went through exactly the same after finding my mother. You need to see the doc mate, even if its just for knockout pills to help you sleep. The doc may advise counselling, it helped my wife although personally I found it a bit strange. You know where I am and you have my number.

Clearly times have changed when threads were closed for discussing the banned

I stand corrected.....

You might remember Mr Doodles when he wrote up two words beginning with M and F. It was as though he had to fall on his sword.... he certainly didn't get away with it.

I have met Mr D and he is an okay guy, a perfect gentleman. The same goes for George. I have never heard either of them mutter any profanities off-line. Why that way here, is out of character and a mystery. But as there is life away from the forum, I sincerely wish them both, the very best for Christmas, a time for their family and friends.

Morning Phil, I haven't had a chance to to get on the forum for any length of time over the last few days so please accept my apologies and my condolences for missing The announcement about Mike. I know he was a good friend of yours.

As for George, he knew he was already sitting on the naughty step and in the immortal words of Peppa Pig, Naughty George! I hope to see him at Gretna next year as he really is one of the good guys, he just let his fingers post without consulting the brain with that last message.

Good morning Richard

Don't beat yourself up with doubts or carry the burden of guilt. It's always hard for those left behind who must pick up the pieces. I have been there, missed 2 people I loved, because I was stuck on a jet. It can make you feel ill and powerless, but in time you learn to live with it and cope. You certainly never forget....Mum and Dad RIP

Now you have to be strong for your family Richard, your wife and children, keep it together and be there for them.

You can get through this.

Rich you CANNOT blame yourself, as has already been said mate, get yourself to the doctors and tell him how you're feeling, bereavement counselling feels a bit strange when you are there but it does help, I had to go through it after my Mum died and I went completely off the rails, I was in a very bad place mentally but talking to somebody who didn't judge or know me helped me a lot.

Good morning Tony, thank you for those thoughts.
I had a sleepless night worrying, but I must take a leaf out of my own book and think positively.

George will be fine, as he is a survivor. I think that anyone who lives in Scotland has to be tough, what with the weather and all that. He is a toughie

Negative (black) first followed by positive (red), current actually flows from negative to positive, when connecting its the reverse sequence, positive first, negative last.
