Kendal mint cake... yummy! By the way I've opened a new branch; a subsidiary. It isn't the first actually, as I started the Albion Chill Out Rooms on the Scottish site some years ago.

I will still contribute here, and continue to welcome new visitors as best I can!

Morning all, cold wet miserable day in S.Wales, just off to attend my wifes' brothers funeral. I hate funerals,as i get older it seems i am attending more and more. There is nothing in life more precious than life itself.

Very true Paul - and my local town, Middlesbrough, is one of them.
To be honest, it's a nice day out for us - 90 odd miles each way, and unless the weather is really foul, we go over the A684, which takes in all the Yorkshire Dales scenery - luvvly.

Remains of yesterday's chicken just consumed - it was thrown into the stewpan with anything else we could find - leeks, red and green peppers, celery, bit of garlic and some hot paprika and cayenne pepper - and served with homemade suet dumplings. I've now got an internal glow. Followed by apple crumble and ice cream (makes a change from custard).
I'm not saying I'm a pig - but a long day coming up tomorrow
