We had no frost last night, and it's a tad milder this morning. I should really take this opportunity to check the car for its MOT, but I. Too tired, not much sleep again last night due to the wife snoring. Getting ridiculous now.

Morning Rich.
Perhaps you should have got her one of these for Christmas

Damp and grey here today, loads to do myself but can't be bothered. Lazy day for me I think

I feel your pain Rich, the back bedroom is a haven for me.

Good news at last! the bank have finally pulled their finger out & sorted my debit card after two weeks of frustrating correspondence , it now works after a very cross phone call with them.

I am totally, utterly and completely stuffed. Had a superb lunch at the Bay Horse Hotel, Great Broughton - a HUGE dish of steak and ale pie, as many handcut chips, and as much vegetables and salad as you could eat ("if you need more of anything - just ask Sir"). Pud was Banoffee pie - with extra ice cream - and my sister couldn't cope with the size of the "Chocolate Junkyard" - so I had to help by eating some of that. All washed down with a a pint of Stowford Press ice-cold cider.
I'm going to rest now - we're doing it all over again on Sunday lunchtime - oh, and a week on Sunday too
