I don't know if your going to have an early night or not Derek, you could have a change of diet aimed at improving weight gain and stamina. Complan and Build-Up, to name just a couple. Additionally, the vitamin tonics can help in so many different ways, with healing/stress/memory/mind and body. All those things will give you a boost and help your body fight infections or if your feeling run down. Like anything, in moderation.

Good evening Steve S not long now before we start making tracks up to Scotland. Managed to sort out the knocking. It turned out to be a cracked anti-roll bar, the links drivers side. Nothing major but a relief the noises have gone. Checked today the steering rack, heat shield and the exhaust. All okay for the drive. The weather reports for Helmsdale next week says rain, rain and more rain at 16C. Maybe I am getting soft

I hope your doing okay.

There's nothing worse than a noise you can't nail down. I'm so so Phil, side effects of the statin have reached their limit so I'm having a break from them. Doc is of the opinion keep trying different ones til I find one I can live with but I'm sick and tired of being a drugs test bed! I'd rather take one for a few weeks until I feel the side effects reaching their limit then a break and restart it. Side effects have built up to the degree that I can't build up the enthusiasm to get the car back on the road.

Your only way round statins Steve and not to have to take them, is to prove to your GP that you can bring down the bad cholesterol levels through exercise and a strict diet. I know that sounds boring and maybe you have already tried it. Some people find statins intolerable, your in that group. I have been on them now for over 10 years and count myself lucky that I am not in your position. A shame about losing the motivation, to get out and about. I hope this changes, as you deserve better.

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams
