Hi.
Many thanks to all for your kind words and support. We will be leaving at 7:00 tomorrow morning and thereafter I hope to hear later in the day.
She goes into the "Day Surgery" unit first where the op is done, then into a ward after I think ICU for a short time.
Oddly a friends daughter (50) had the same op on Monday first thing and was released at 20:00 the same day, apparently due to the hospital having cases of Novo Virus, the hospital is in Cramlington.

Many thanks to all.
Anne has had her op, fortunately it was a keyhole procedure. She is in pain which is to be expected but she looked well when I eventually was told nearly three hours after she was admitted to the ward and went in.
I met the surgeon a Mr Rae, a total gentleman with a great sense of humour. He said her uterus was like a old worn out car and a definite MOT failure.... Anne commented.. Excuse me but I'm still here you know, the laughing made her quite sore.
Not sure if she will be out by the weekend though, certainly once she is home it will be a bit of a strain as I am badly struggling with my left leg, lots of pain but Anne has done it for me so I'll do my best and knuckle under and get on with it.
I'll let you know once she's here.
Again many thanks everyone.

Hi.
Well she came home just before 19:00 this evening. She is in a lot of pain from the CO2 they use for the Laparoscopic procedure during the operation. I'm informed that this is very painful indeed and can take some days to subside. She is resting in bed now and has all she needs.
These ops do take a while to heal and settle so I'll be chief cook and bottle washer for a few weeks.
Thanks to all for your kind words, Ill pass them on to Anne.
