I have always been a beer drinker since I was old enough to legally. Never liked lager, used to drink best scotch when I first started drinking, occasionally cider,or Mewcastle Exhibition, known locally as Ex. Now just drink real ale.

Every ZT owner should raise a glass of Old Speckled Hen in a salute once in a while. Moreland Brewery originally brewed it in 1979, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of MG. Both were originally Abingdon based, obviously MG moved, and Greene King bought out Moreland, but the heritage is still there as the Speckled Hen label is still the same shape as the MG octagon

My dad went on to that after becoming diabetic and had to give up broon. Prior to discovering it he drank Holsten Pils.
