Morning all - and a very happy birthday to Pat Mustard if he's looking in

The sun has re-appeared - but it's a bit lacking in warmth. We had a good test for my new garden water butt yesterday, with some pretty heavy rain afternoon and night. Verdict - failure
The theory is that the 'diverter' on the down pipe channels water from the guttering into the butt - until it's full, and then the water is further diverted back down the remainder of the down pipe straight into the drain.
It's obviously not worked, so there's overflowed water all over the place

Speaking of mobile phone my phone now says No service emergency calls only & I cant phone out or text

I tried to text for my balance but it wont text out or call the Asda customer service place to check my balance!!!

I'm hoping there's not a timed out thingy where if you don't use it in a certain time span you lose your credit.
I put £20 on the PAYG sim & maybe used it half a dozen times since I got it.

I emailed them and I'm still waiting for a reply.

Still raining steady here & cool with it, the missus has put the central heating on and the tumble drier is going full blast It's supposed to be Spring.

Not long back from taking our daughter to pick her car up from the garage, the bill for the clutch job on the Ford Kuga was £750

Steak dinner tonight & I need a big swilly as I've had to give her the dosh up front for the car bill.

Were you able to ascertain the clutch fault Ian? In 2001, I had a Rover 75 Diesel in BRG lovely car, but when the clutch went, MGR wanted £750 to repair as it was out of warranty. A memorable bill

It's was slipping & worn out Phil, It's an ex lease car and the mileage suggests it's at the end of it's days. It barely made it to the local garage, The garage only does clutch work & nothing else, they were cheaper by a country mile from other quotes for the job.
