I just watched Dunkirk on Sky Cinema, apparently it was the highest grossing WW2 film and the critics raved about it but I found it disjointed and difficult to follow. It jumps back to previous scenes three or four times but from different viewpoints. One minute you're with a Spitfire in a dogfight in broad daylight then suddenly you're on a rescue ship at night

I prefer the 1958 version with John Mills!

Totally agree, watched it some weeks ago, thought it was a poor depiction of the whole event. I thought it concentrated too much on the one small boat rather than the actual event. A lot of films today are over hyped.

Cool

Morning all from blue sky SouthWest Essex. Car cleaning today ready for tomorrow's National.
And there is a lady coming to view the flat.

Good morning all, good morning Bob, I am happy for you that you are out of the doldrums and that you have a plan for Devon and Cornwall with its mild climate, beauty and fashionable resorts. Don't overdo it tomorrow. All the best for the flat viewing. I saw the forecast on the TV for England and it said for this weekend... 27C, so do pack in a hat and lots of fluids. Reebs has a penchant for Mr Kiplings, so do I .....I usually take 2 boxes of the apples pies for the national, but can't make it this year. Have fun, photos please

Good morning Ian, have you any plans for the weekend? I had a full day yesterday, did gardening, hedge cutting, walked in the forest overdressed in a fishing jacket in case it rained and came back drenched in sweat from the heat, humidity. I am off out shortly to do some more gardening. Might do the lawn
