Lovely day for a wedding though 👍

Blimey Andy moving house is stressful enough without a busted foot. Good luck mate.

They were gob smacked!

From that meeting, I was given an apology, permission to take a week off and a pay rise back dated for 12 months. One of the directors asked for proof of the marriage. She said I wasn’t the marrying type. I have to say she was the root of the trouble and was the one who had refused me the leave. I was good at my job and made them lots of money. What an old bag. I reckon she was over ruled by her colleagues. Not the easiest of employers to work for

What are you up to?

Today here it is heavy rain and 21C is forecast, but I don’t know if it will get to 21, as it is so grey
Morning Phil - 'tis a lovely day here - bright sun, blue sky and a temperature in the late teens (us Northerners don't like to be too hot!).
Today is pre-wedding and pre-holidays hair cut day - last one until we return home from our travels in early July
I checked my wedding suit yesterday and I can still fasten the waistband, so that's a good start to the week
Still got to write my wedding speech yet - I keep trying, but I seem to be bereft of ideas.
Thinking back to my wedding - I was a car salesman/petrol station manager at the time - I was only allowed one week of paid holiday, so our tour of Scotland was undertaken at a fair old pace.

It’s a shame Rod, I am not there to make the speech for you, I have been best man 3 times and loved it. What helps is having a pint of the good stuff before hand and the rest is easy, your a natural. Don’t forget to say “Eee ba gum”

Good morning Phil, glorious day here, I've spent most of the weekend staining the garden fence panels in cedar wood stain, this run of nice weather has dried them out and been perfect for taking them out of the posts to paint them. my tan has gone from white to pink

I shall have to go and get some petrol for the mower as I put the gallon I had in the Rover the other day to move it out of the garage. the grass is growing like wildfire.

I am sure it will look very nice when it is finished and give your fence many years of service.....10 years/25 years? We have about 3 acres of lawn and the lawnmower was made by Rover, it’s still going strong. Sometimes we let the cows and donkeys eat and manure the lawns. Mind you don’t get sunburnt

Don't have grass in the garden here and frankly I don't miss it! My folks designed it as low maintenance for their old age and I'm quite happy with that arrangement.
