Had a bit of "excitement" here. A friend sent me a Messenger conversation she'd had with her friend in London, her friend was talking about continual abuse by her partner and contemplating suicide, the conversation started with "what's the quickest way to commit suicide" I phoned the Police (101), told them about it, panda car was were here in minutes, took the details of the conversation etc and were going to pass them on to The Met to try to trace her. I hope they find her and get her the help she obviously needs.

I had been close to that road once over in the last couple of months Steve, not the abuse side, but the other. I'm fine now, and thanks to someone on here, worked out what my problem was. Now I know what was causing it, I can manage it better.

A friend of mine had it from the other side, every now and then his wife would flip and bombard him, not physical abuse but mental. One night he was out making a living driving his taxi and she phoned the Police saying he'd been in the local Labour Club drinking, obviously he was pulled over, with punters in the taxi! Great for his reputation. She also accused him of hitting her and he spent a night in the cells before being released. Local Police came to realise the reports were bollox but still had to act on them. He was devoted to her but eventually he couldn't take it any more and they separated.
