Good morning all, how is everyone? Had a swim in the ocean in the darkness last night to cool off as it was a hot night. Didn’t go too far, but it was a lovely dip

Morning Phil, that must have been really refreshing to get in the water out of the heat, reminds me of the line in Fleetwood Macs 'Green manalishi' (when it was a proper rock band ) ...."the night is so black as the darkness cooks".

Reminds of one of the times I was in the Philippines, swimming in the sea during a torrential tropical rain storm . . . . it was like sitting in the bath with the shower on! Lovely . . . . then I began to wonder about sharks!

A few weeks the council stopped cutting the grass on the banking outside back gate (health and safety). So decided to cut it myself, then put in some wild flower seeds. Flowers have started to sprout about 2" high. I let you guess what the council boys done this morning.

Very nice. We have 2 similarly nosey beggars who always want a slice of the action. They appear from nowhere round about the time we prepare meals....

No! you got to be kidding, they came round and knocked on your door and thanked you for cutting the grass and planting flowers, making it neat and tidy well done that man, you are a credit to the neighbor hood.

There's a bush/hedge "thing" in a small walled plot at the end of my garage. Over the years it had spread along the low wall on the museum boundary, looked ok and did no harm. Council appeared one day and cut it back to the edge of the plot, with an axe by the look of it

I made the mistake of giving them titbits of cooked meat from the fridge when I make a cuppa, now every time they hear the kettle click on they're there at the fridge.
