The smell of smoke coming from the moorland fires over Saddleworth way is making my eyes sting, It's been terrible having to close the bedroom windows at night.

Well I don't know how to break it to you guys! It had to happen!

I've finally caved in & ordered a pair of shorts online.

The missus said the Lancashire gazette had found out & wanted to do a piece on this phenomenon about man in shorts in Lancashire.

It's like living on the surface of the Sun in this heat, me meat & two veg are gagging down therein this heat.
I've never taken notice of my legs since the school sports day in 1965 when I did the high jump (pre Fosbury flop) and the 100yards (pre metric)

now I'm looking at pale legs devoid of hair there was hair there the last time I looked and they're smoother than my missus's legs now WTF!

My legs remind me of Spike Milligan's Puckoon where he's sitting looking at his legs wondering why they are 'a pair of dirty old pipe cleaners' when he hears the voice of the Author,
“Author? Author? Did you write these legs?'
'Yes."
'Well, I don't like dem. I don't like 'em at all at all. I could ha' writted better legs meself.”

Back from a 60ml round trip to take g/daughter to Brecon. Must comment on the scenery once you go north of the Heads of the Valley road A465. Different world to where i live in the Valleys. Can not understand why some drive so fast and not take in the views on offer.
Steve Nicks if you are reading this you live in a Beautiful part of Wales.
The Valleys are scarred with the history of Iron, Coal and Steel industry.

My grandpa worked down the pit in Ogmore Vale, gosh that was such a long time ago, but am proud to remember him and my working class heritage. Your right about the Brecons being so picturesque. In 2014, the old V6 VIS motors packed up whilst attempting to driving over them, no acceleration, so I made a detour to see Jules and he replaced them. Steve Nicks, I am not sure if he visits the forum or not. 3 days ago, he thanked me on Flickr for posting up some stunning nature photos. I suspect Steve is out and about collaring the bad guys and locking them up.
