Morning everyone, another hot sunny day on the Lancs riviera by the looks of it. I could get used to these blue skies but not so much the sun.

I think this hot weather must be to blame for the broadband dropping out intermittently from minutes to hours It's been happening virtually every other day for the past few weeks.

They just put an automated message out about 'problems' in your area when you ring Virgin. never had as many problems with them.

Afternoon, too bleedin' hot here! Got back from Torquay late last night, not a journey I'm in a hurry to make again. Going down was hellish, a train that runs from Aberdeen to Penzance was only a 4 coach Cross Country Voyager. Spent most of the time playing musical chairs jumping between unreserved seats, had to stand from Berwick to Darlington! Coming back was a lot better, it was a good old HST set, plenty of seats. Girls, even little Maya, were as good as gold on the journey.

Funeral was hard, Elvie was only 53. She had breast cancer which she was treated for but secondary, very aggressive, lung cancer developed, that's what got her. Ging and her were best friends really, they first met when they came from the Philippines on the same flight 20 odd years ago. Nigel, her husband, kept it together during the funeral, better than I did really. I was ok during the service but at the crematorium was difficult. I'm not sure its really hit Nigel yet, he's had company all the time. Elvie and Nigel ran a B&B but, obviously with Elvie being unwell they were closed but a couple who were regular guests and became friends were staying in the place next door when Elvie passed away and have been staying with Nigel since. They're leaving at the weekend so Nigel will be on his own, I suspect it'll hit him then.

What a difference a few hours make! I complained this morning to Virgin media about poor broadband strength and said I've taken a screenshot.

Back to normal again

Been down to clinic for what i thought was blood test and personal M.O.T.
After she give me injection she told me to arrange a blood test and health check.
I thought that was why i was there, didn't think to ask her what she just injected me with.
