Evening all, Still Scorchio here, I've never had to water the planters so much in my life. they wilt if you don't water them on the hour every hour.

It's salad weather again so we're having pork chop dinners

Evening Rev, It's a nice cctv kit and the picture quality is very good indeed. theres a ebay link to the kit at the start of this thread, It's open to offers too, I offered £85 & they accepted.

It's quite easy to put up all in all, I already had a outside power supply that went to the security lights so I ordered an outside weatherproof connection box. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eagle-Out...72.m2749.l2649

and a 4-way extension lead which fits in perfect. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Way-2m-...r=521101625408

The length of cable on the power PSU's is about 4 feet, I installed one of the cameras within four feet of the junction box & the camera under the eaves of the garage roof plugged into the power supply in there.

The cameras I'm putting up at the side and front of the house need the power cable extending so I've ordered some two core cable https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30-Metre-...72.m2749.l2649 and some power connectors https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-20-12V...72.m2749.l2649

But I never looked where the weather proof junction boxes where coming from (China) so I'll have to wait for them to arrive.

The Wi-fi range is good from the Virgin router and I've got it set up on my mobile phone with the free apps for it & I can watch or record or take a pic from wherever I am in the world...It'll be 100% Lancashire lol.

I've only got to format the HDD in it now to record all the time or by motion sensor, my brains fried today so I'll sort that out soon, the instructions are easy to follow and there is a youtube vid up for this floureon kit on how to do the formatting.

I'm very happy with it.
:edit this is the kit I got off ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4CH-1080P...72.m2749.l2649

Evening all - remember me - hope the usual culprits have kept a modicum of interest in the LCOZ whilst I have been sans internet.
We're now back home after 4 weeks and 4 days in the caravan investigating Gloucestershire, Cornwall and Warwickshire. We've been blessed with some smashing weather (especially the last two weeks), great food and a huge variety of ciders, and some superb National Trust properties to visit and enjoy.
Early night for me - I seem to be easily tired by motorway driving nowadays - I blame it on the levels of concentration demanded by other dodos on the road, but it might just be old age

Hello sonny, are you a new member

If nothing else the dogs give you a good laugh. I went to water the garden but its been so hot rather than watering individual pots I set the sprinkler up, one of those that fires a spray of water up in the air and rocks back and forth. Little Maya thought this is a great game, she was walking back and forth keeping pace with the spray trying to catch drops of water in her mouth. She was so wet you'd think she'd had a bath. Suzy on the other hand just stood there. She shook herself every time the spray landed on her. You could almost hear her thoughts, "why the hell do I keep getting wet?". Pops was wise enough to watch proceedings from the back door
