Glad you're safely back Nigel - hope the journey didn't take too much out of your daughter and that she has a good recovery.

Evening all, got back from our weekend in Chester about 4.20. First time away with the caravan this year, first time towing with the Insignia. Apart from taking it for service and back that is. On the way down we had a bit of a headwind, so fuel consumption not that good.26.1 mpg, on our return, we had a side/tail wind, and got 32.7, so well impressed. The best I ever got with the Rover, was about 29, the first one that is, which was manual. Off tomorrow to get a few things done, then back to the grind on Thursday.

Evening all, I got roped into emulsioning the hall/stairs I knew I wouldn't get away Scot free there are flamin' little cat white paw marks everywhere despite putting down dust sheets
I did some gardening too whilst it's been dry & snow foamed the Niro & I'm cream crackered ruined a porkchop tea with chilli I got some garlic salt & chilli flakes in a twist mill from B&M to try out and it was like a flamethrower in yer gob The missus spat it out I think I put too much on. at least some ice cold cider is doing the job. Oh despite having a bumper crop of tomatoes from the Tom plants my missus still bought some at the supermarket even though the fridge is groaning under the weight of them in there. ....I give up.

Years ago the house we lived in had a small porch at the front door, Dougal (our Dachshund) loved sitting on the wooden bench on top of the brickwork in there watching the world go by. My father painted the porch, gloss white but didn't do a good enough job of keeping Dougal out. First we knew was a trail of white gloss footprints along the hallway, into the lounge etc, at the head of the trail was Dougal, covered in white gloss, all over his feet, legs and bum The bench had to be repainted! As for Dougal, just had to wipe off what paint we could, had a grey Dachshund for a while.
