Morning, wet during the night but dry if a bit cool this morning. Confined to the house on Sunday, Scottish half marathon. The road is shut 06:00 to 16:00.

Thank you for all the kind words everyone it's appreciated, it was a very emotional day yesterday but it went well.

Dad shot tons of film on a 8mm camera when we were kids in the 1950's/60's which my sister had made into a DVD. it was played at the wake afterwards to much laughter & joy.
Glad it went well for you and the family.

Still sunny here but windy.

Good morning anyone out there. I hope Jessica has a safe trip back to Nairobi

NO hospital/surgery visits today - so, joy of joys, it's back to the Friday larder re-stocking trip. I don't know which is the worst/funniest - watching the parking antics in the Doctors Surgery car park, or Morrisons - or Aldi.
Last Friday, drove into Aldi to be met by a lady coming straight for me, despite it being a one way system. I dropped the window down and politely pointed out that she was going the wrong way. Her reply ? "I haven't been here before!".
So, despite there being a large sign at the entrance saying "ONE WAY SYSTEM" huge, 6 foot long white arrows and a variety of NO ENTRY signs all over the car park - she couldn't see any of them
I politely suggested that a trip to Specsavers (NOT the one down the one-way street !!!) may be beneficial

‘I’m only going one way’

Thanks Rod, Jessica had a good flight of 8 hours, it arrived on time and through a free app on the phone, I was able to follow her “live”.....

Driving back from the airport yesterday, it was rush hour. I stopped at a red light and 8 cars - chancers, went through the red light on their side of the road, the bitter bottoms.

Another busy day Rod for you, take care

What an 'orrible miserable wet day, it's still dark & chucking it down here. I've got some of Henry's finest cider chilling in the fridge ready for a few films tonight.

Lasagne & oven chips for tea tonight.
