Certainly hasn't bored. A sad tale, but with a happy ending, so glad for you.

If it's any comfort, when my Baby was hit a few years ago now, we went through a similar process. The upshot being that she came back from the bodyshop in better fettle than before the accident, as a few minor stone chips were sorted in the process. I have no doubt Grovey will be the same and you'll have many more years driving ahead .

I'm coming up to the NEC on the Friday, so look forward to seeing Grovey in all his (her?) glory. Well done for sticking to your guns.

Of course had Grovey not had a slushbox, he would have been parked outside my house and none of these things would have occurred

Damn the original owner for not having a proper stirrystick gearbox

As an aside, Grovey was the test mule for the 160 upgrade in automatic format, lots of time spent inside that polished plenum
