There is a clue in the text "THERES A LAW SUIT AGAINST ME" is not a used term in this country, and luckily I think most of us are savvy that H.M.R.C. don't do their business this way. Sadly the parasites are out there to try to catch us.

Doesn't worry me if there is a law suit out, It appears I have a couple of million waiting for me in a Nigerian bank....

I've had one from BT's tech dept in the last week. The voice sounded like a robot and apparently hackers were actively trying to ... well, err, hack me at that very moment. Me, would you believe it, and a poor little northern boy at that. Have they no shame! The indignity of it ...
A few days later I received an early evening call from the gift of the gab himself with a very large plumb in his gob. He was trying to flog me a wine investment??? Hic! His pitch finally fell apart (it had been from the off) when he asked me to confirm my details as he could not apparently do so because of a recent power cut to their systems. My cordless phone had been beeping since shortly before in protest at low battery power so I precluded the inevitable at that point and quietly and calmly put the phone down. |

Its got to the point that I don't answer a number I don't recognise on my mobile. I'll Google it and 99.99% end up blocked.

I keep getting calls from BT apparently claiming if I don't ring them back on a number that the message gives my Internet is going to be disconnected in the next 24 hours and it will cost me to get it reconnected.
The odd thing the women's voice is American and she has been leaving this message on my answer machine for over 4 weeks and my Internet is still perfectly OK. Maybe I need to put her in contact with one of the companies that claim they will cut my Internet monthly cost Every day there seems to be a new scam either on the Internet of the phone and I am sure they do get some people but it makes me wary of when you get a real company calling me, I even had too question recently when my bank called me about a transaction I had put through on my business account. I rung them back on my mobile and it was OK in the end. |
