I feel honoured to have been such a big part in your life Maninder but I feel you're using my reticence with a silly button to mask the real reason of your stepping back from the forum Perhaps you're tired of dealing with your nemesis for so long & need a break. Don't be too long though my friend, my finger will be hovering over the button in anticipation

I have met Ronnie several times over the years and he is a good man on all counts.

Are you really stepping back Maninder, what has preempted this?
Morning Phil,

I am stepping back from regular posting on non-car matters, but as I stated in the opening post I intend to remain a member and engage as necessary on car related stuff given that I continue to own two 75s.

As to what has prompted this, thank you for asking. There are no negative reasons. My voluntary work at the local technical college has gone really well this year to the extent that I generally spend 3-4 days a week there. It is really rewarding to help young people rise towards their potential in engineering/technology/education and generally support the teaching professionals. I have offered the college the same commitment for next year. I get a real buzz from being in that environment. By contrast, with non-car related stuff on the forum it is now constant repetition between a relatively small group and the engagement/interaction has become predictable as well as unproductive This, coupled with a humorous exchange between myself and Ronnie in the past, means that I am acting on a personal statement.

Ronnie's "thanks" brings this all together - I feel like a complete man who is stepping back with a grin from one cheek to the other!

Jambo! Maninder

Thanks for explaining all of that which is easy to understand. All the best in helping the youngsters at the college through your voluntary work, they are the future. How rewarding this will be for you. As others have said, don’t be a stranger

This does now mean that the majority of members can relax as my manifesto will go on hold!
