Default Continetal Headlight?

I have been told there is a switch on the back of our headlights that converts to driving on the continent, what should I be looking for .

Cheers.

There is a lever which you lift to convert beam pattern, only on projectors though

Yes, I've moved this a couple of times. Rover, in their wisdom, designed it with a nice sharp edge too!

This is what happens inside.

The lever covers the 'notch' that normally provides the kick-up at the LHS of the beam. When the lever is 'on' the kick-up is lost. It's worth knowing that because the usual outer edge kick-up you get is missing. Illumination of road signs is therefore less effective when driving on the right.

My rover has been to France a number of times without me altering anything. I just kept an old stick on blanking kit for a car I used to have in the glove compartment. If gendarmes had taken an interest in my car, I would have just stuck it on somewhere on the headlight. Just keep beam low at night.
