Anne's op tomorrow
Hi.
Anne is going in first thing tomorrow (Thursday) for a Hysterectomy. She has been on medication for a couple of months to reduce fibroids with the hope it will be keyhole surgery, she wont really know the outcome of the shrinkage until the surgeon is doing the job. Anne hopes that it wont be a full incision as the recovery is longer. I'll know the outcome later on tomorrow.

Hope all goes well with you. Marion had a full hysterectomy 5 years ago because of fibroids and she felt miles better afterwards. It solved a lot of her problems.
2 things Marion found through research, 1/ Buy big knickers, they miss the scar area and make life more comfortable 2/ Go for the spinal pain relief not the morphine because the spinal version lasts for 3 days and the morphine only lasts a few hours per injection and they withdraw her from it quite soon, so she goes on to paracetamol too early. You can get a useful book 100 Hints for a Happy Hysterectomy on Amazon or ebay. If she needs to talk, give her this address [email protected] Best wishes Mick Last edited by wmick; 10th January 2018 at 16:12.. |

Recovery should be a slow process, no rush, let the body heal, then go on and enjoy things.
