Hi, don't know much about these units. Can you run Android apps on them? Like you can on your phone?

Also, does Google maps/navigation work on them?

Or do you have to use what ever it comes with?

Hi yes you can use android apps from the Google play store and use navigation apps like Igo or Tom Tom etc.

Jubbs.

Im halfway installing that one I got off you, but decided to put a proper TE AMP connector between the steering wheel controls and the loom.

Question is.... can the unit take a 64GB SD Card, or 32GB only?

And also.... my SD card is RAPID, its 95Mb/s, will the unit and satnav maps see a benefit to the increased performance?

Hi.
I was always led to believe that a class 10 card is 10Mb/s and the ones with the U3 mark 30Mb/s.
The read and write speeds are also effected by the processing in the device, bit like fitting 150mph tyres to a 2CV it wont make the car faster.

I believe the stereo will take a 64GB card yes, as Ive seen people use them.

The faster the card the better, if you use a slow card then the tracks will stutter for some reason.

Things have moved on now from these specifications.

I better look out a 64GB card instead!

You could run a cable from one of the rear usb ports to the glove box or arm rest and plug in a flash drive

Nah, not into that Jazz. Amateur stuff!

WHat about the 2nd SD slot, the Maps one?

Is that effectively giving the unit two data drives that Android will see, and you can use that as a dedicated storage area for map data?
