Is this the source of my suspension movement/clonk ? pics
Have some movement in the front drive when accelerating, can feel a looseness and a bit of a clonk when I accelerate, I raised the front on ramps, had a look with a torch and the only thing I can see is this, doesn't look right to me, that rubber bush thingy on both sides looks knackered.....am I on the right tracks, if so whats the solution ?

Yep those bushes have had it.
Whilst it is jacked up get a crowbar to check for any play in the lower arm inner and outer balljoints, the anti roll bar bushes and the droplink rod ends - levering them up and down will soon show if they are good to go or on the way out. |

It is the rear bush for the front lower arm.
As to driving it each to their own, but it wouldn't bother me - the arm is still captive so it can't go anywhere. Can't help you with costs I'm afraid. . Last edited by Mike Noc; 2nd February 2018 at 12:54.. |

As above, you'll be fine driving it - thankfully it's a very good 'fail safe' design.
We have Genuine MG bushes here: Front Lower Arm Bushes - Genuine MG It's a bit of a pig of a job (just being honest!) but DIY-able with some grunt. Good luck.
