Scrapping the car.
My Club SE tourer will fail it's MOT due to rust and will be heading for the scrap yard. The scrap man offered £150 for it. Is this a standard sort of price or do different yards offer different prices?

That’s not a bad price, worth putting it up here first to see if it helps any members out?

I too think it's not a bad price from a "scrappy".
When it comes to this stage, scrap metal dealers realize the owner is at the "final solution". It is very difficult to consider breaking a vehicle if space is a premium. |

I got me a Conny SE Tourer on Wednesday and over the next few weeks I intend swapping bits over ie: good for bad.
When I'm finished I'll offer it up to the forum first then if no one is interested the scrapman can have it.

That is a very good price, the scrappy's around here offer a lot less than that. A neighbour only last month struggled to get anything for a Micra but in the end managed to get £50.
