Who knows anything about these? I have a customer in Spain who wants a 100 th front wing badge for his but I think they were a very special limited edition with very few if any spares available. I can't find any info on it anyway.....

Not heard of that special edition before - perhaps it was something done just by MGR's Spanish division and so the badge was fitted locally?

Maybe a Rover 100 badge glued to the wing would suffice

Announced in September 2004 at the Paris Motor Show, the Limited Edition 100th Anniversary was limited to 100 examples built for sale in European markets only, which included France and Germany. Two colours were apparently available from the Mongram range: Chatsworth and Black Olive. Engine options comprised of the CDTi with either manual or automatic transmission or the 2.5-litre KV6 with automatic transmission only. The Connoisseur SE saloon-based limited edition had a Sandstone leather interior. On the outside it was designed to replicate the recently launched V8 models (brochure and publicity shots even used photoshopped versions of the V8 images), so it came with the Premium front grille and 18-inch Vortex alloy wheels. The equipment levels went beyond that of a standard Connoisseur SE, with features such as Highline navigation and, I believe, Xenon headlamps. On the front wings were '100th 'Anniversary' decals spread over two lines, while inside on the ashtray lid was an individual number out of 100. However, I do not know all the markets it was sold in or how many were allocated to each market. I do know that we in the UK market were short-changed by not being offered a UK version. Sadly I cannot help on a part number for this limited edition model. However, I hope the rest is of interest. Perhaps your customer can let us see some photos of his example?

Some interesting info there, and well done Russ on finding the badge
The nearest I could come up with, and a slight tangent to this is the Dutch Special edition Rover 75 Longbridge Edition launched on 1st December 2004... This too was a limited edition with a V8 premium grille, Pioneer touch screen fold out GPS/DVD, cruise control, burr walnut dash and cubby box lid, parking aid, Leather seats, 2.0 CDTi engine which came in a choice of Royal Blue, British Racing Green or Platinum Gold. I wonder how many of these are still in circulation Thanks to Duotone for supplying me with the original advertising sheet |

Thanks chaps, I have also been sent this link
http://aebergon.perso.neuf.fr/Land_R...100th_2004.htm You may find it interesting. I think the customer is up the proverbial creek to be honest. A lot of these very special limited editions only have enough "1 off" parts made to support the build. They are not usually readily available as spares. Cheers

That spec sounds very like mine apart from the Xenon headlamps, and mine is platinum gold. The first owner purposely left them off the car because he felt that they blinded other drivers.
How's that for manners, eh? Cheers Bluey |

Please don't take offence on the quality of the photo, but I seem to recall having read that No. 1 was finished in Chatsworth, so this photo is a little over-exposed. Having read some of the other comments on this limited edition, I am wondering whether a 'second batch' might have been built for sale in more European countries with a modified spec (i.e. body colour and wheel choice) at a slightly later date (end of 2004/early 2005) which did not have a press announcement. The 100 cars announced at the 2004 Paris Motor Show had an equal 50:50 split built between Chatsworth and Black Olive being produced, although a Racing Green car has come up as a potential Anniversary Edition too. I am only guessing here, but I think it is possible that the 'Anniversary' theme was repeated for other markets although these cars had a different colour and trim specification and may not have had the special decals or a numbered ashtray lid. I will try and see what else I can find out from "another source" about these limited editions. Of interest, I believe other derivative names such as 'Heritage LSE' and 'Sport LE' were also used for export derivatives we commonly refer to as the Limousine and Contemporary.
