Default MG ZT TV receiver - Part required

I need to locate a new TV receiver for my MG ZT as the current one got water logged and needs replacing. I have spent all morning ringing round parts suppliers and breakers yards and I am struggling to find a reasonably priced one. Can anyone help or make any suggestions?

Welcome to the club and the forum.

I'll move this post into the ICE section where it will get the attention it deserves, some of our ICE heads will be along to assist a little later on.

Plenty about on Ebay

Also contact NavTVman on ebay for a price but don't pay more than £150 for a 4:3 version

Also it is unusual for the TV tuner to get damaged by water as they are fully potted are you sure the radio is ok?

Hi Keith
Thanks for the advice. I have had an auto elctrician look at it and they've had it on their Kbus system (I think that's what he called it!) and he has come to the conclusion it definately damaged as we can not get any signal. The TV comes on fine but will not tune in. The radio is working fine now although at first the front speakers weren't working as the handfree was damaged also.
The unit shows not signs of corrosion but just isn't working. I will try ebay now.

Hi Keith

I've this on ebay, is this what I'm looking for?

Original 4:3 BMW tv module removed from a 1999 530d it has had very little use and is in good working order. The part number on the unit is BMW 8 902 015 which I have been informed has superseded to 65 90 6 946 423 and fits 3'E46,5'E39,7'E38,X3'E83,X5'E53 and Z4'E85 but check this with you local dealer before bidding, so grab yourself a bargain these are over £400 from your dealer !

Yep that will do the job, a straight swap
Like I said don't go over about £150 as the 16:9 widescreen ones go for not much more i.e about £210

Fortunately the 4:3 version is not so sought after anymore and with the analogue switch off on the horizon you may get that one quite cheaply

Some of the 16:9's lately Keith have been going really mad some in the near £300 mark!
Don't know why the sudden increase and they still seem to keep appearing from Lithuania, surely there can't be any BMW's with one left in that Country now!

Maybe not in Lituania but no doubt plenty of candidates across the borders

This site seems to have no shortage of suitable donors
