The BBC reports that the sea of some coasts in Turkey are suffering from large swathes of “Sea Snot”.

Apparently they think algae has thrived on pollution - mainly human waste

- and has caused an algal bloom that looks like mucus.

Lovely.....

I always laugh (nervously!) when I see a "beautiful" bay which then gets masses of hotel and other touristy bits built around it, all spewing the sewage straight into the sea via a "long?" pipe. Then people wonder why this sort of thing happens.
