What's in a name
as a bit of a relief to what's happening in the world right now might I ask a trivial question: how many people give their cars a name? My Rover is called Rodney and my wife's ZR is Goxhill, the name of the village where he previously lived!

2004 Sunspot Yellow ZT 1.8t+ goes by the name of “The Flying Banana”. Often known as “Banana”. Given the name by a friend when I first bought her back in 2010, and the name has stuck. Well known on here.
Starlight Silver ZTT V8 400 goes by the name of “Pooky Bear“. Often known as the “Bear”. Named in honour of my late wife. It was her CB handle. Every vehicle I have ever owned has had a name, some cannot be repeated on here.

As a child I did give my Father's cars names - there was Wendy Westminster, and Wilhelmena Wolseley, but nothing since. Too many to give names to - I just give some of them relevant registration numbers now.

My CDTI is Percy, a name chosen by a very dear friend for him, so not a name I would have chosen myself, but for her sake, I agreed, she's a very special friend.
