Default Mk1 Rover 827si

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1989-ROVE....c100005.m1851

There's bound to be a home for this out there, somewhere?

Would probably take a few grand to sort out the cosmetics, but I always thought the mk1 800 saloons were cool - and that 2.7 Honda V6 is a weapon!

My old man had a blue saloon 827si back in the early 90s, and it seemed unusually luxurious in these parts at the time.. those seats were great too.

(seller is nothing to do with me, btw).

Cheers,
Karl.

That all depends on how old you are.

It's an original mk1. Smaller bumpers and original interior. 1990 models were revised and a bit nicer. Not saying that one is not nice. Had 2 myself and enjoyed them.

Had a saloon and two fastbacks but only 820's. Always preferred the look of the fastback if i'm honest but either way genuinely great cars to drive

Never liked the facelifts as much as the originals, but then I was biased

Car seems to have gone from the link, now..

Cheers,
Karl.

That's a pretty smart looking motor, Pete.

Wish I could get my hands on nice example over here. Looking at the photos bring a lot of memories back (loved those cars)..

Cheers,
Karl.

Cheers,
Karl.

That was the last one i had. Came fitted with all the factory extras like the skirts and Vitesse alloys etc. Another of those 'wish i had never got rid of' cars.

Had an 827 vitesse fastback and loved it, quite rare as it had a manual gearbox and most were autos

Lovely cars, but the pipes underneath the body rust worse that our upper arms!
