Yes under the servo.
(only accessible form underneath

Chop an inch off the tube closed end of the tube.

Do not chop the bottom of the the 2 AC evaporator tubes off
(as I've seen the past!!!! )

Default Just made a peep hole.

I have just made the peep hole and put a rod down it. Water ran out, at least 1/2 a pint.
Don't think it has been done for a long time.
Thank goodness for this club I would never have known about this problem until it was too late.
I'm a new member and have already saved my £10 subs.
Thanks all concerned.
Would recommend you do this.

Either buy Jules plastic plenum guards, or fit some 'gutter guard' plastic mesh material. All that is needed is the gaps at each side of the plenum (by the bonnet hinges), suitably filled in such that water can go down, but not leaves, twigs, paper and other debris.

Add the plenum spyhole mod, then you can easily check the drains are clear.
I agree with you harry preventation is better than cure, I used the foam block in fish tanks around the heating element, the holes allow water to dissipate freely but block any leaves or fragments its easier to cut to shape with scissors and after winter it gets quick wash to remove any sediments and bingo another worry free year

Hi Lawrence.
great that the thread helped you, there are more threads that can help in maintaining your car, ie oil, air, pollen, pCV, changes etc.

Another alternative is try and get to a few meets where members help each other out on their cars and you will get great advise and hands on help to show you how to do certain jobs etc, we have five weekend meets each year you are more than welcome to attend meeting venue etc can be found below my signature
