53 ZT CDti Spares/Repairs - Fife £350 **SOLD**
Right just wondered if there was any interest in this before I look to break it
the good: 53 reg ZT CDTi Trophy blue, 156k, Projector lights, grey monaco seats in pretty good shape, auto dim mirror, reverse sensors, factory sunroof, hi line computer with no lines, full original Harman Kardon system. New three piece clutch fitted in January this year The bad: No ECU (explained below), bonnet cable snapped, needs a tyre, in tank pump needs looked at, needs rotary coupler,MOT expired. Although it had a new three piece clutch kit fitted in january this year, the master cyl now needs changing as its losing fluid. this was my main transport between edinburgh and fife daily and edinburgh and aberdeen once a week for a year up until August. I took it off the road then as it needed some work for its MOT and bought another ZT. I needed an ecu and rotary coupler for the new car so i nicked them off this one. If you refit an ECU it will start and run no problem and take you wherever you want to go - but - the pickup on the in tank pump is broken which means it floats in the fuel instead of being fastened to the bottom of the tank. This gave me a running fault until i disconnected the low pressure sensor and then it ran absolutely fine albeit with the management light on. (this was confirmed as the cause of the fault on a T4 session) Ive also stolen the rotary coupler for the other car so the driver airbag is off. So basically its spares or repairs. I need £350 as i've been offered £210 scrap plus I'll be able to sell the harman kardon and projector lights etc. Any interest? its very saveable despite how it sounds! or would be a rich source of spares![IMG][/IMG] Last edited by Cortinadave; 3rd November 2014 at 21:45.. |

a lot of the work thats needed is quite easy - the ECU refit is a 10-15 min job, rotary coupler's no biggie and i'd imagine the pump pickup could be fastened in some way without needing to actually replace it (pump does run)
An afternoon's work would see a lot of it solved but I can't see me getting round to it and its just sat there. |
