Thanks to this thread I managed to sort it out. Also bought a new lower seal-trim from Rimmers ( clips incluced) and the blue clips. When the weather clears and plastic is less likely to break I'll replace all. |

I have a small leak the drips onto the left of the boot mat a couple of inches in from the side.
I already sealed the hinges and the rear lights. It looks like it is seeping along inside the panels from the window seals and going all the way down near enough the rear left light and dripping onto the carpet. I tried to remove the trim around the window but two clips broke so left alone. I am after buying the CAPT TOLLEYS CREEPING CRACK CURE so I will get back and let people know how I get on. Keep in mind guys a damp boot can cause electric problems. In my case the water sometimes drips down the rear light power cable and I am getting error readings due to bad connection. My rear parker sensors also play up now. All of these are cured by wiggling the connection. I will of course be sorting these out with a good clean etc. I already removed the rear bumper and cleaned all connections ( they did not need it they were clean ) but the problem still happens. It's a pain especially when you have a love for you car. |

After sealing all my window trim I still had the exact same issue. Turns out it was getting in at the top of the rear window where the black plastic roof rail strips meets the window. A squirt of silicon and all it good and no need to remove any clips and break them in the process!

There are no holes in the body at the top of the screen, only the bottom. You may find that the water has caused one or more of the pins in the parking sensor ecu to corrode and break off, this happens regularly with the leaking screen. A replacement ECU is required, unless you are super amazing with a soldering iron. Last edited by rich17865; 27th August 2015 at 18:42.. |
