Steering wheel remote problem
My last ZT had the infra-red sensor for the remote, and I had a connector to sort it all out.
My new ZT hasn't. The two wires from the remote terminate in one of three blocks behind the radio aperture. Anyone know what I need to link it all together? Mick |

Hi Dave
The head unit is a JVC. The remote is hard wired into one of a triple block which at the moment is not needed for all the other functions. All I need is a similar unit to the one I had for the infra-red remote. Mick |

To get a JVC head unit to work with the steering wheel controls you are going to need an interface. Incartec and other companies make and sell them. I presume your first ZT had a Kenwood head unit, that is why your infea red system worked. Dave T |

Hi Dave
No, I'm using the same JVC head unit as in the other car. Only difference is the last one was IR and this one is hard wired. I have the interface from the old car, but it only had one wire from the remote. Now I have the choice of 2, so assume I need a different interface? Mick |

I think this is the correct interface. You will also need a JVC patch lead. Choose JVC in the drop down box. http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/autol...or-p-9102.html The steering wheel control wires are blue/orange and blue/purple. Dave T Dave T |

Hi Mick I had exactly the same a couple of weeks ago . I was advised to get the
pc99-x39 with the relevant patch lead for the particular make of head unit fitted which in your case I can only guess would be PC99-JVC . Have a look here http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=197880
