I've edited this post.
After shunting pin 1 and 2 by mistake and being able to connect only the engine module, I re-did the shunt on pin 7 and 8 and voilá, the cheap blue vag-com cable from ebay works. Plenty of options and real time info to mess around with... I'm liking TOAF. Now for the key, I did a backup ASAP, then deleted the keys, inserted the number from the sticker again and nothing. Reloaded the backup and nothing. Keep in mind that a couple weeks ago I've replaced the remote key receiver behind the dash with no success. What are the odds that both of my keys died within a week apart, and one of them still lights up the led??? I'm going to find a replacement key to see if it works, after being added with Toaf. I've managed to get a key from a crashed 75 and tried to program it into the BCU with TOAF and immediately locked and unlocked.
In a nutshell, both my keys died in the same week, one after the other. I've realized that the small red led that flashes on the keyfob is not an indicator that the key is functioning as it should. Once again, thanks for those that suggested any solutions, and I hope this thread helps someone in the future. Best Regards. |
