Still wild & wet out there. I made a steak & mushroom dish pie with a suet pastry crust, Bootiful. Just scored on the TSW Christmas sales that started today, The Cathcart circle line (Scottish city commuter) I've been waiting for ages for this to be in the sales, £4.99 instead of £24.99

Cool

Morning everyone from my hospital bed, in my lounge.

Ankle is sore but my spirits are high.

Only another 5 weeks in plaster, and I’m fed up after 5 days.

Morning All, it’s blowing a Hooley down at the boat today.
Just making sure everything is Shipshape and Bristol fashion ready for Christmas on the boat .

I think the plan is to have Christmas dinner at lunchtime at home and then meander up to the boat in the afternoon and spend the night on board and boxing day. Of course ……we will be bringing nibbles with us !

Hope you’re coping okay Bob and the pain isn’t too bad and you’re not getting any horrible itches or anything like that.

Walked in to Tesco early evening yesterday, took one look at the enormity of the queues and did a quick about turn. I guess we can be thankful that Christmas falls nearer to the winter solstice and the shortest day of the year which is today at 7 hours 50 mins. Were it nearer to the summer solstice and the longest day of the year at 16 hours 38 mins we would have to endure nearly another 9 hours of Christmas panic and manic activity.

T'will be a 6a.m. shopping trip tomorrow for us and mum. Hope that she's up early when I take it for her!

Crissy mus, the biggest marketing ploy of the year.

Enjoy the break, those who need to and for all us retired folk, more of the same, with decoration! (and maybe family that you may want to see, or maybe not!).

If Christmas wasn't expensive enough already, Bloomin' desktop/multimedia PC behind the telly in the living room has gone belly up .
I've been scouring the ebay for bargains on the PC in the conservatory this afternoon, Too cold in there this time of year & I ain't heating that place as well. Just found one & ordered it.

More of that steak & mushroom pie for tea tonight with mash & veggies.

Morning all, Still wet & windy out there, Go away storm Pia

Well the moggies toppled the Christmas tree overnight because I couldn't find one of the three base legs yesterday so it was balanced on a biscuit tin , I found it this morning after emptying half the shed to look for it Still had to fix the banister rail on the stairs with new raw plugs as it was a bit loose.
